After many years in the trade working for large pub companies, we were keen to offer the type of pub we enjoy; premium pub food and drink in a genuine Freehouse offer with a friendly and relaxed ambience.
The Perseverance is an independently managed free of tie traditional pub with a contemporary offer, re-opened in April 2007 under new management.
We offer a premium drinks range including continental draught lagers, a large global selection of wines - sourced locally and leading brand spirits.
Our menu is based on traditional pub fayre; it is home made, freshly prepared honest pub grub at reasonable prices.
Upstairs, there is a seperate small room which is great for a quieter chat and a seat when the main bar downstairs is busy or for private hire, if available.
We do show some, in our opinion, important sporting events on our screen. However, this is at our discretion so please visit our Homepage to see whats on.
There are also picnic benches outside for the fairer weather, complete with large umbrellas for shade or indeed protection from the rain for smokers!

Although prams / wheelchairs do easily fit through our downstairs doors and are welcome in the pub, we have no disabled or baby changing bathroom facilities
